Our Love Story

Hyatt Regency Houston has rich Houston roots. Upon opening in 1972 as the largest hotel downtown Houston, our service, amenities and architecture have been the talk of the town. From singers such as Frank Sinatra and Liza Minnelli to politicians such as George H. W. Bush, Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, many other famous faces have enjoyed staying within our welcoming walls over the years.

When first built, our architecture was ahead of its time. Our 30 story atrium, sparking the interest of a movie producer who chose our 30 story atrium to be the setting of his film, Logan's Run.

Confirmation of Space and Deposits

An initial deposit of 20% of estimated charges is required to confirm your date along with a signed contract.

Guest Accommodations

A room block may be setup for guests attending your event. Check in time is 3:00pm, and check out time is 11:00 a.m. If you would like to setup a block of rooms, a minimum of ten guestrooms must be guaranteed or the prevailing hotel rate will be offered.

Rehearsal Dinner

Entertain your closest friends and family in an elegant and intimate setting, by having your rehearsal dinner in one of our private spaces. We will help you customize a menu and other details, so you can concentrate on your upcoming big day.

Hyatt Regency Houston will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any articles left at the venue following your ceremony or reception. Liquor Bars provided for at least 4+ hours require one officer per 150 guests, at $100 per officer per hour, with a four (4) hour minimum per officer.

Family Brunch

The perfect ending to the perfect weekend. Treat your overnight guests to breakfast the next day. Your wedding specialist will arrange for a private room with dedicated waiters to serve your guests, available at an additional cost. This final touch will allow you to reminisce about the wedding and wish everyone farewell before you leave for your honeymoon.

Parking

Valet parking is available for your guests at a rate of $35.00 per car. This rate is for Event Valet only, No In/Out Privileges or Overnight Parking.

With so many delicious custom menu options, it is hard to make a decision on what to eat on your big day! Luckily we provide a complimentary Tasting of our delicious Wedding Menu Selections for you, your fiancé, and two additional guests a month prior to the big day.

Wedding Specialist

Of course when reserving your wedding here at the hotel, you will be working very closely with your own personal wedding specialist there to guide you on the journey to your perfect day. Your Wedding Specialist will serve as your personal catering and hotel consultant to coordinate every detail of your hotel wedding experience.

Professional Wedding Coordinator/Planner

In order to ensure a seamless event, a Professional Wedding Coordinator is strongly recommended and is the responsiblity of the Wedding Couple.
